I posted this video on May 23, 2007. I thought I had save the page from google cache but it is not to be found on my computer at the moment. I can’t recall what was written on the page now. I had good comments on the post. Thank you for taking the time to say something about my Grand-Mama.

Sabaidee everyone. As you can see something has changed drastically with the site. I was not able to restore the site to its previous condition. (I forgot to say that the server crashed and I lost everything). So, I must start all over again with the posting and re-create the site page by page.

I know many of you are waiting for the Thai drama, Pleng Ruk Rim Fang Khong (เพลงรักริมฝั่งโขง) clips. Please bear with me and I will repost those clips as fast as I could and add more new ones. I’ve been to youtube site and I have not seen the update on this hit drama the last three days or four days. I realized you are all missing your soap opera very much. When I came back from grocery shopping with my father’s niece I worked as fast as I could in the kitchen with washing fruits and vegetables. Bay later came by to pick me up so I can make photo CD at her place and also to have dinner with my Grand-Mama. She was very happy to see me again and so were the rest of the family. They thought they would not get to see me before I fly back to Vientiane.

During our stay in Pakse we often went to Ban Thahin Neua for the evening market. It is smaller than the other evening market in town but very closer to my cousin’s house. This town is along the main road to the new morning Pakse market and to get out of Pakse. It is also the only place I have found to have a bung (pond) with phak thob. It reminds me of a town that I used to live in Vientiane as a little kid.

We’ve been in Champasak Province for two weeks and it was time to get back to Vientiane. After a visit to my father’s mother to say goodbye, we all got in a truck with our suitcases and headed back to Pakse. We would be flying back to Vientiane the following morning. Before heading to the house of my father’s niece, we made a stop at the new Pakse Market for some shopping. We later had lunch at Harn Fer Thavone.

After a big bowl of delicious Fer or Pho, we went by Aao Ki’s house for some sugar cane drink. A village nearby is having a Boun Bane (village’s boun) and we saw a parade coming down the street. My cousin and I chased a truck to get some strings to tie on our wrists. It was really nice that my aunt and cousins gathered around me in the truck and gave blessings to me while tying the white strings on my wrists.
