I spent last Friday walking around the center of Leiden and a few hours at Leiden University Garden (Hortus Botanicus). The entrance fee is 5 Euros per day but students at Leiden University get a free pass. It’s not a surprise to see many students relaxing on the lawns or reading under a nice shade, or having a picnic with their classmates or dates. I was alone and took my time exploring unusual plants, beautiful flowers, trees, and shrubs.
