After taking some pictures of Wat That Luang, we went to see the Patouxay Monument. I was fortunate to have seen the water display a few weeks before. Of course I could never get enough of the sights and sounds of Vientiane.

Patouxay

Patouxay Monument was land mark for me for getting around as a little kid. From our former house, I can walk or bike straight down to the national monument. From Patouxay Monument I can locate the road leading to my grandmother’s house in Phone Thong or to my mother’s work place at Mahosot Hospital.

To grandmother’s house I would take the right one from the front side of the monument. Going to the left would lead me to my uncle’s house. To take a road that I am not familiar with, well that was not a thing a kid like me would do. :)
