Dutch apple pie

I was out shopping yesterday, trying to find a good deal on after Christmas sale. I didn’t buy anything except for food and added on more calories with an apple pie at Bijenkorf department store. It was crowded in the city center with people looking for a good bargain. At least there was a sort of carnival set up all over town to cater to young children. I did run into a sign that made me think of Nye and took a few pics for her. NYE stands for New Year’s Eve but to me it was like Nye talking to me in hidden language.

Darly, that apple pie looks delicious! When I saw that picture of you standing next to the Nye poster, I thought the same thing too.  I was like hey that reminds me of nyenoona!  See she is everywhere!:)

  2. Nye Says:

Nye talking in hidden language, I wonder what I said to you.  :)  I figure it’d be somewhat odd to see something like this, but strangely, I feel like it’s my real name now, I would imagine that’s what you would call me if we were to meet in person.

Ginger! Sooo funny! Hey, you are everywhere because I was reading a news article last night and once again there was a picture of a lady standing next to a NYE sign in New York on New Years Eve. Nye makes me think of the Laos word meaning leader, commander…hummmm are you bossy by any chance? Upfront? Bold? Organized? A Perfectionist? Okay, I’m trying to decode your hidden language or persona!:)

  4. DJ Says:

    Hi there Karmadiva,

That pie was good but not good for my waist, lol. When I saw the sign the first thing that came to my mind was Nye. Then later  I found out what it stood for. But at first it was Nye is everywhere. :)

  5. DJ Says:

    Hi there Nye,

Good thing I carry my camera is my purse almost everyday. I had to take pictures for you and I thought you would get a kick out of it. I don’t even know your real name and to me you are Nye as always. That’s what I’ll call you when we meet in person someday. :)

  6. Nye Says:

Hi Karmadiva, just upfront and somewhat of a perfectionist but not bossy, Nye is pronounced as ‘Nine’ meaning boss, but when I picked that name, I didn’t know how it was pronounced, I signed up at laoplanet forum and used ‘NY’ for New York, but I needed at least 3 letters, so I added ‘E’ at the end, so it was Nye ever since.  There is no hidden meaning in the name. :)

  7. karmadiva Says:

Darly, how could you eat all these good food and still stay skinny?!  SOOOO envious!:)

Hi, Nye! It makes sense.  You are from NY right?

  8. DJ Says:

    Hi Karmadiva,

I’m not skinny, Nye is the one who is skinny and in shape. The only exercise I get is walking to the store and to catch public transportation. :P

  9. Nye Says:

Karmadiva, yes I’m from NY, I used to live in Brooklyn, and then moved to Queens, and I attended school in Manhattan and also worked 32 hours during my studying, not so much different from what Darly is doing now.
