After Christmas Shopping
Author: DJ29.12.2007

I was out shopping yesterday, trying to find a good deal on after Christmas sale. I didn’t buy anything except for food and added on more calories with an apple pie at Bijenkorf department store. It was crowded in the city center with people looking for a good bargain. At least there was a sort of carnival set up all over town to cater to young children. I did run into a sign that made me think of Nye and took a few pics for her. NYE stands for New Year’s Eve but to me it was like Nye talking to me in hidden language.

Darly, that apple pie looks delicious! When I saw that picture of you standing next to the Nye poster, I thought the same thing too. I was like hey that reminds me of nyenoona! See she is everywhere!:)

Nye talking in hidden language, I wonder what I said to you. :) I figure it’d be somewhat odd to see something like this, but strangely, I feel like it’s my real name now, I would imagine that’s what you would call me if we were to meet in person.

Ginger! Sooo funny! Hey, you are everywhere because I was reading a news article last night and once again there was a picture of a lady standing next to a NYE sign in New York on New Years Eve. Nye makes me think of the Laos word meaning leader, commander…hummmm are you bossy by any chance? Upfront? Bold? Organized? A Perfectionist? Okay, I’m trying to decode your hidden language or persona!:)

Hi there Karmadiva,
That pie was good but not good for my waist, lol. When I saw the sign the first thing that came to my mind was Nye. Then later I found out what it stood for. But at first it was Nye is everywhere.

Hi there Nye,
Good thing I carry my camera is my purse almost everyday. I had to take pictures for you and I thought you would get a kick out of it. I don’t even know your real name and to me you are Nye as always. That’s what I’ll call you when we meet in person someday.

Hi Karmadiva, just upfront and somewhat of a perfectionist but not bossy, Nye is pronounced as ‘Nine’ meaning boss, but when I picked that name, I didn’t know how it was pronounced, I signed up at laoplanet forum and used ‘NY’ for New York, but I needed at least 3 letters, so I added ‘E’ at the end, so it was Nye ever since. There is no hidden meaning in the name.

Darly, how could you eat all these good food and still stay skinny?! SOOOO envious!:)
Hi, Nye! It makes sense. You are from NY right?

Hi Karmadiva,
I’m not skinny, Nye is the one who is skinny and in shape. The only exercise I get is walking to the store and to catch public transportation.

Karmadiva, yes I’m from NY, I used to live in Brooklyn, and then moved to Queens, and I attended school in Manhattan and also worked 32 hours during my studying, not so much different from what Darly is doing now.
