McDonald’s Square

Author: DJ
25.08.2008

After taking enough pictures of the windmill museum in Leiden, I walked straight down to what the international students at Leiden University called “McDonald’s Square” and you can guess how the place got its name. I was able to take a few photos before the rain started to pour down while the sun was shining. I was so busy taking pictures and didn’t notice my camera was getting wet. At some point I took out the umbrella to shelter the camera so I can take a few more pictures while walking toward the town hall.

After the last photo was taken, I ran inside V&D department store to hide from the wind and rain.

I like the town, it has that old world charm, are you thinking of living here?

It has its own charms. I can try living here. The nice thing about this place is that you can pretty much go anywhere in Europe for a quick vacation. Flying to Vientiane is also shorter than going to Kansas.
