Important scenes from the opening episode of Ray Rai Louk Sao Pa. Alexandra Bounxouei and other cast members join together in a parade, singing and dancing to music sung by Alexandra herself.

Alexandra Bounxouei is on the set with the elephants. She has been fond of elephants for as long as she could remember but when she met them on the set, she acted as though she wanted to change her mind.

Cee Siwat has a heavy role in Ray Rai Louk Sao Pa. Even though Alexandra Bounxouei is not that heavy, the actor was huffing and puffing because he has to carry her many meters during the filming of the Thai lakorn.

Alexandra Bounxouei came back to work with Thai TV channel 7 again on Ray Rai Louk Sao Pa lakorn with Cee Siwat and Nam Rapeepat. She took the role of Ray Rai, who is a daughter of farang father and a Thai mother. Ray Rai has a good heart and has been raised in the Phou Pha Mork, which made her love nature and wants to protect and preserve the forest. Both Thavanh (Cee Siwat) and Phaivanh (Nam Rapeepat) are in love with Ray Rai but who will win her heart? You have to find out by watching the lakorn yourself.

Thai TV channel 7 entertainment show, Sen Thang Bun Theung broadcast earlier tonight starting with a coverage of Ray Rai Louk Sao Pa thai lakorn, starring Alexandra Bounxouei and Cee Siwat. Sorry I didn’t record it fast enough because I didn’t know they would talk about the lakorn and missed a few seconds of the show.

A very nice video about the celebration of That Khao in Khammouane, Laos that I found via Laomedia.net Youtube latest feed yesterday. I have to admit that since the site has been revamped recently I tend to start out my morning by going there and check for the latest video clips to add on at Laovoices.com and for interesting news and photos regarding Laos. It’s like having my own Lao popurls. It’s a new way to surf the net for information regarding Laos and Laotians for me and adding Laoplanet.net on top of that, I am hardly behind with the latest news. Of course I still have to check the official Vientiane Times Newspaper website for the missing links.

I saw this video while browsing the Youtube latest feeds of Lao video at Laomedia.net earlier this morning. For those of you with weak stomach, you might not want to view the gruesome photos in the clip. The man in the video has been attacked by a bear and was taken to Vang Vieng hospital for treatment.

Vang Vieng Hospital

This hospital has been upgraded and in Lao standard, it is quite modern. According to the sign by the front gate, the reconstruction was funded by a Lao-Belgium Health Project. The construction started in 10 February 2006 and completed on 10 October 2006, at a total cost of 212.491.47 Euros. Having a more modern hospital in the area is a must with so many tourists flocking to backpacker’s heaven. I wonder how many foreign tourists are admitted to Vang Vieng Hospital annually.

On January 29, 2008 my aunt Kian went to Wat That Luang to take some photos for me. During my visit to Laos last year I didn’t get a chance to visit the place during the day time because my parents didn’t want to go there and didn’t make time for us to be in the area either. I had to beg for my aunt to make a stop at Wat That Luang on our way back from Tha Ngon in the early evening. Wat That Luang is very special to me because I grew up in the area and my former house was a few minutes walk down the street from the 4-ways intersection. My elementary school was right across from Wat That Luang as well.
