Happy Friday. A very nice song to listen to from Lao Art Media by Anousone. I am going to check if the Lao lakorn is available in DVD version. It looks like a very good story to watch.

When Alexandra Bounxouei came to the USA for her first concert tour, many older people made request for her to lum. This piece of music is from her 2007 concert in Houston. She first performed the music at the Lao Ecotourism Festival in July of 2007.

I found another Lao artist that I like next to the rock band Cells. His name is Lang and he has such a great voice. He is like the “Jay Chou” of Laos. Let’s bring Lao music to the next level.

A new video by Lao rock band Cells. They are rocking Thailand at the moment and their music videos are produced under the label of Grammy. This song has a really great beat but I can’t agree with the lyrics though. I’ve heard this Lao saying of how it is better to hold a poop in your hand than to hold a fart. I wouldn’t want to hold anything with stinky smell to begin with, lol. I don’t agree that you should have a man just for a sake of having a man or someone to walk around with you at night. Heck you can have a male friend to walk you if you are too scare to walk alone or a girl friend for that matter.

Alexandra Bounxouei was recently a guest star on Thai Game Show, Ching Roi Ching Rarn. She presented herself very well and told funny story about the time she was younger. Alexandra also told the audience about a scary moment, a ghost story.

Here is a six minutes clip of Alexandra on Ching Roi Ching Rarn.

It was two years and one month ago that Laomusic.Nu was launched as an extension of Laoplanet.net. Its slogan speaks for itself: Laomusic.nu - Nucleus of Lao Music. From day one I wanted a site to promote Lao music and Lao musicians from all over the world.

Laomusic.nu

We currently have 46 artists in our Artist Directory, 274 Lao Music Video, and not to mention 344 Asian Music Video. We also have a growing list of music pods: Hip Hop and RnB, Morlam and Lookthung, Pop and Rock, and Golden Oldies.

Many thanks to all our supporters out there, especially the Lao musicians who are making waves for Lao Music. We are proud of you.

I was getting tired of the old look of Laomusic.NU for a few months now. So around Valentine’s Day I decided to give it a makeover and go for a clean white background and bright colors to give the site that fresh look. I wanted to reveal the new look by Lao New Year (April 14th) and was able to make the deadline.

Getting a new theme is just a start, now we have to clean up the site a bit and make sure all the pages look fine. There are still some contents to be added but hey with the warm weather days coming, it’s going to take me awhile to get the site looking the way I wanted. I’ll save the work for the rainy days and will enjoy the outdoor and beaches on sunny days.

Just in case you didn’t notice, I also went for a new look for this site. I like this new theme much more than the last one. Hope you can handle the grey layout because it’s here to stay for awhile.
