My Grand-Mama likes to make offerings and take part in the ancient tradition of Morning Alms Giving. The money she received from her sons in the US and from me usually goes to the local temple after it is spent on food and on her betel quid chewing habit. Like the majority of old ladies in Laos, Grand-Mama chews in the morning, afternoon and night before bed time. As a Buddhist person she is big on giving and is one of those people that would give clothes on her back if you would ask her from her.
